Broken Silence

Loss, confusion, guilt, hope, resilience.
Life feels heavy, a burden I can’t explain,
The road is long, and I carry the strain.
A presence once near, now far from sight,
The quiet grows, replacing the light.
There was a time when I could turn to her,
A guiding force, without a word to stir.
Now the silence fills the space we knew,
Her absence lingers, like morning dew.
Another call, but the distance is wide,
A friend in grief, but I couldn’t be by her side.
The chance slipped through, lost in the haze,
Now I’m left with the guilt and the maze.
Life’s meaning seems distant, unclear,
The path feels wrong, and I can’t steer.
Am I lost or just adrift in the storm,
Caught between the past and what’s to be born?
Confusion clouds what once felt true,
A struggle between what I should do.
But even in pain, I still search for light,
Hoping one day, it’ll shine bright.
I don’t know what life holds or why,
But I’ll keep walking, and try not to cry.
Maybe one day, I’ll find the peace,
Or maybe the hurt will just cease.
The ups and downs, the joys and pain,
These are the vicissitudes, the things we can’t explain.
